It was Palm Sunday this week and our service went great. I had several people come up to me and say how good the music sounded . Kudos go to our band, vocals and sound guys for making it all work together.
We started off with one of our new favorites “Today is the Day” I need to make sure and not do it so often I wear it out. After that we had announcements, and the kids headed to the back of the room to get palms. This was a new way of doing this but it worked well. They came down the center aisle as we played Ancient of Days and then they went ahead and did the children’s moment. After that we sang Days of Elijah and Revive us Again. After our prayer time I sang Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) for offering. Then we had a great message and closed with Jesus Paid it All. Then we had a new family join… yeah.
So.. how did things go with your service?

I had the rare ability to lead worship yesterday and as I prayed and considered a song list, old songs kept coming to my mind. So, we did old ones:
O Worship the King
To God Be the Glory
I Stand Amazed in the Presence
Blessed Assurance
Only Trust Him

I’ve noticed a lot of churches doing “Today is the day”. I really need to check into it.
