Instrumental Reflection #8- Lazy
Sep 30, 2009 Free Stuff, Instrumental Reflections
The 8th installment of Instrumental Reflections brings a piece that is perfect to play behind a prayer time, prayer walk or even to help you relax and go to sleep. I called it “Lazy” and it sound just like that. The song is about 3 minutes long but I looped it once. You should be able to loop it and have it play continuously in your MP3 player, or on the computer.
I hope you enjoy

Sunday Setlist 9-27-09
Sep 27, 2009 Worship Planning
What a great Sunday at Williams Memorial UMC this week. The best part was a new family joined and we had a baptism.
Here were our songs
Brand New- This is a Kerri Crocker original and she does a great job as always. Was nice to have a song that I just played guitar on.
Salt and Light- This is a song that we have been playing for years now. The scripture this week was about how we are salt of the earth, so seemed like a good fit.
Father of Lights- We introduced this song a few weeks ago to our group. We found a upbeat version with a good guitar solo break in the middle.
Matchless- Used this song during offertory… there’s a question… what do you do during your offertory? New Songs, Worship Songs, Solo songs?
Holy is the Lord- Love this song though we didn’t go through the whole thing because of time but the congregation was singing and sounded good

Instrumental Reflection #7
Sep 19, 2009 Free Stuff, Instrumental Reflections
I have to admit it has been much harder than I originally thought to produce one of these reflections per week. I won’t get caught up but will try to be more reliable in the future.
This week I sat down in my office and flipped through the hymnal. I came across one of my favorite hymns “My Jesus I Love Thee.” I love leading contemporary worship but definitely miss some of the hymns I grew up singing week after week. I decided to just sit down and play what came to mind. This recording is pretty close to my original thoughts. Enjoy.

Big Event for 6th Graders
Sep 16, 2009 events
This year I get another opportunity to lead worship for an amazing group of kids at a great weekend retreat. It’s called “The Big Event” and it’s our conference 6th grade retreat held November 6-8 at Lakeview Conference Center in Palestine Tx.
Please pray for me as I go, and for all those who will be coming. I am also looking forward to meeting Illusionist Jared Hall who will be there for the weekend.
