<p>Now we start year two where it began. This piece was one of several recorded during the prayer times at this year&#8217;s College UM ARMY camp. After worship I would sit and play for a while while people prayed. This is what happened.</p>

While I sat down to write this I had the words to the hymn &#8220;Old Rugged Cross&#8221; stuck in my head. The phrase &#8220;On a hill, on a hill far away, stood an old rugged cross, an old rugged cross&#8221; kept echoing in my head. That rhythm became the recurring  theme of this song.
