Here is our complete list of songs…

So Good-

Sing Sing Sing-

Ancient of Days-

Wade in the Water-

Everlasting God-

Heart of worship

We also used this video called God’s Faithfulness from Worship House Media

Sunday Setlist 12/20/09

We had an awesome Sunday in the Xperience Service at Williams Memorial. We started off with our own version of Carol of the Bells, ala TSO. Then one of our vocalist sang Amy Grant’s “I Need a Silent Night” followed by a small devotional from Pastor Danny. Then we read the Christmas story from Luke, interspersed with Christmas songs. Breath of Heaven, Away in a Manger, While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks- to the tune of Our Great God, It Came Upon a Midnight Clear, and Mary Did You Know. Then we took communion and sang I Will Rise during that time.

The service flowed great and everything sounded awesome. We finished up with Silent Night as our song of invitation.

Well that was our service.. what did you sing this week? What did others sing this week? Find out at Fred McKinnon’s Sunday Setlists

Sunday Setlist 9-27-09

What a great Sunday at Williams Memorial UMC this week. The best part was a new family joined and we had a baptism.

Here were our songs

Brand New- This is a Kerri Crocker original and she does a great job as always. Was nice to have a song that I just played guitar on.

Salt and Light- This is a song that we have been playing for years now. The scripture this week was about how we are salt of the earth, so seemed like a good fit.

Father of Lights- We introduced this song a few weeks ago to our group. We found a upbeat version with a good guitar solo break in the middle.

Matchless- Used this song during offertory… there’s a question… what do you do during your offertory? New Songs, Worship Songs, Solo songs?

Holy is the Lord- Love this song though we didn’t go through the whole thing because of time but the congregation was singing and sounded good

Sunday Setlist 8/30/09

I have tried several ways to do my Sunday Setlist. This week I thought I’d try something different. I took my iphone and made a short audio recording of the recap. Then I emailed that to my posterous account. I think it worked pretty well.. what do you think? Play Sunday Setlist

If you can’t here our songs were-

Open the Eyes Of My Heart
Friend of God
Anyone But You
Father of Lights
Be Glorified

Sunday Setlist 08/23/09

This week was a great one at WMUMC. We had blessing of the backpacks so tons of kids in our service. We handed out keychains with a flashlight and a whistle during the children’s sermon.. All the kids kept blowing on the whistles. It was a little loud but fun to watch.

Our songs were:

Tell The World- Always a good one to start off with.
Wonder Of Your Love- This is one I wrote a few weeks ago and the band liked it immediately. I have included video above.
Mighty To Save- This is where I messed up. Kept the capo on from the previous song so our guitar player started in on the correct key of A. I came in in Bb oops…  The cool thing was that once I came in, he went up a step and then the whole band played the who le band caught the mistake and played the entire song in Bb.
Child of God- Kerri did an awesome job singing this one.
Jesus Messiah- Amy led this and did great. I  loved the harmony we had on this song and it was nice to get the chance to sing harmony every once in a while.

Oh I’d appreciate your thoughts on the “Wonder of Your Love” song. I like it, but I wrote it, so I’d love to get some other thoughts on it.

Sunday Setlist- 06/07/09

sundaysetlistsquaresmall This week was a sad yet joyous one for our church. Our associate pastor Frank Coats has been appointed to a new church in Houston. Today was his last Sunday with us. One thing Frank is known for is wearing bowties. So this week many members showed their love by wearing bowties of their own. We are sad to see him leave but wish him the best.

Here were are songs this week.

Everywhere I Go-
Today is the Day-
Come Ye Sinners
Child of God
Power of Your Name

Sunday Setlist 4/27/09

sunday-setlistI had a thought today during worship that has seemed to haunt me all day long. I wonder what difference it all made. The songs were rehearsed, sermon prepared, and video cued. 200+ people came in, had a “great” service, and 200+ people left. From all the technical aspects it went fine.
I am sure there were lives changed that I will never know about. I do have faith that God spoke to someone today in a profound way. My prayer is that the people who walked in and out the door, myself definitley included, have been changed in some way that is evident in our lives this week.
Ok.. that was my thought.. here is our list.
People Get Ready- Not exactly our version.
Victory in Jesus
God of Wonders
Meet with Me
Video- Evangelism Linebacker
Liturgical Dance Song-Silent Night 911(Youtube Video)

So.. how did things go with your service?

Sunday Setlist 4/12/09

sunday-setlistIt was Easter Sunday this week and we were ready for anything. Well not the dark cloudy skies, incessant rain and tornado warning. Other than that we were ready. The rain probably kept some people from coming to church but we still had a great crowd.
We did something a little different, at least for us, in that we had communion on Easter Sunday. I really liked it, and a few people I talked to did also. I’d love to get some other peoples thoughts on that.
Well.. here is the list for this week

Tell the World- Hillsong
Everlasting God- Lincoln Brewster
All the Earth Will Sing Your Praises- Lincoln Brewster
Jesus Messiah-Chris Tomlin
How Great is Our God-Chris Tomlin
My Savior Lives-New Life Worship

I have begun putting our songlist up for our congregation and including itunes links.

Now that you know what we sang this week make sure and check out what other worship services did on Fred McKinnon’s Sunday Setlist.

Sunday Setlist 4/5/09

sunday-setlistIt was Palm Sunday this week and our service went great. I had several people come up to me and say how good the music sounded . Kudos go to our band, vocals and sound guys for making it all work together.

We started off with one of our new favorites “Today is the Day” I need to make sure and not do it so often I wear it out. After that we had announcements, and the kids headed to the back of the room to get palms. This was a new way of doing this but it worked well. They came down the center aisle as we played Ancient of Days and then they went ahead and did the children’s moment. After that we sang Days of Elijah and Revive us Again. After our prayer time I sang Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) for offering. Then we had a great message and closed with Jesus Paid it All. Then we had a new family join… yeah.

Our Songs
Ancient of Days

So.. how did things go with your service?

Our worship service went great this week. I tweeted at the beginning that I could feel the excitment and engergy in the crowd even as they were entering in the doors. We had a good crowd, full stage and great songlist. Really had no hitches with A/V or anything else.  We missed having Kerri but loved having our new vocalist with us. It was just a good Sunday. My prayer is that it was good for other people because they learned something new, or drew closer go God in some way. Those things I really cannot tell from the stage but continue to pray is happening each week.
Here is our list (Links go to Itunes)
Everlasting God- Lincoln Brewster
You Never Let Go- Matt Redman
My Savior Lives- New Life Worship
My Hope is You- Third Day
